Resulting from the recent WPC Committee meeting, we confirm a decision regarding the pre-event tournament deadlines listed below. All other deadlines in the WPC calendar — including season dates — remain strict.
Pre-Event Deadlines – Strongly Recommended
For this tournaments’ season, the following deadlines serve best practices in tournament administration and are strongly recommended:
- Technical Rules – 60 days before tournament
- Registration Link – 45 days before tournament
- Team List – 14 days before tournament
- Schedule – 7 days before tournament
If you have compelling reasons to adjust the timing according to your local conditions and preparation needs, tournaments will still be ranked AS LONG AS these steps are completed before the event (even if later than the dates above) AND the tournament meets all other qualifications for ranking.
This modification is valid for the current tournament season only and applies to all tournaments in the 25/26 pipeline, regardless of when the preparation started.
Post-Event Reports
The deadline for post-event reports remains 3 business days after the last match.
Timely reports are essential for:
- Accurate and fair ranking updates
- Processing any appeals
- Maintaining operational transparency
If you expect a delay, notify WPC immediately.
Until WPC+ provides an option to upload reporting, members must send their post-event reporting within 3 business days to competition@worldphygital.org (for ranking validation) with a copy to membership@worldphygital.org (for Incentive Program points tracking).
If a report is submitted later than the 3-business-day deadline, the tournament will still be ranked, IF the following conditions are met:
- For tournaments held from August 1, 2025 until January 2, 2026, inclusive, reporting documentation must be submitted within one calendar month after the tournament;
- For tournaments planned to be held from January 2, 2026, to January 31, 2026, the deadline for submitting reporting documentation is February 3, 2026.
Reports received after this cut-off will exclude that tournament from the ranking release.
RE: Incentive Points
Submitting your post-event report within the 3-business-day deadline adds to your Incentive Program points, helping you climb the WPC leaderboard and increase your visibility in the community.
Late reports (received after 3 business days but before the cut-off) are ineligible for additional incentive points.
From next season, WPC will reinstate a stricter approach to all deadlines.
